Brian Lau is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in Pennsylvania and has a dual Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He has always had a desire to help others, and that is why he started his career in healthcare. In addition to his training in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Brian has a unique blend of Western medical knowledge from working 10+ years as a registered nurse. This training gives Brian a unique position of having considerable knowledge in BOTH Eastern and Western medicine – something which few individuals possess.
Brian began his career in healthcare at Northern Arizona University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He has extensive experience working in the mental health and addiction field, where he has enjoyed working with people of all age groups and backgrounds. It was this work that lead him to discover the field of acupuncture and how effective it can be in healing both the mind and the body. This discovery was thanks to the talented acupuncturists he met and was later mentored and healed by, coupled with his desire to connect to his own Chinese roots.
Brian soon went on to attend the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, where he obtained his Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine, as well as a certification in the Chinese Body work known as Tui Na. Brian later became board certified in Oriental medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
More recently, Brian moved from his home state of Arizona to join our practice, Live Well Medicine, in Hershey, PA, where he shares his knowledge and expertise with his patients.
Albert Einstein once said, “Problems cannot be solved with the same mindset that created them.” Brian does not like the idea of getting stuck as a healer, so that is why he constantly learns and finds new tools and skills to help others with. He strives to help others who are motivated to transform and renew their minds and bodies and not conform to the patterns that cause them to get sick and feel stuck in their lives.

Master of Science in Functional Nutrition, Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor, United States Air Force Staff Sergeant
Olivia holds a Master’s degree in Functional Nutrition from Parker University and is a Certified Functional Nutrition Coach (CFNC) through the Functional Nutrition Alliance. She completed studies at Bloomsburg University in 2020, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. In 2017, she enlisted for active duty in the United States Air Force and continues to serve in the Air Force National Guard.
Olivia attributes her passion for Nutrition Coaching to her personal health journey. Throughout her teenage years, she struggled with fatigue, skin issues, anxiety, and other “mystery” symptoms. After a routine assessment, her primary care physician said she was fine and offered prescriptions to mask the symptoms. Even as a teenager, she knew this was not a path to healing. She was frustrated and searching for alternatives. When she discovered holistic medicine, she found hope.
A full system approach with functional medicine testing identified her “mystery” symptoms as hormone imbalances, adrenal insufficiency, and high insulin levels. Once she discovered the root of the symptoms, she was able to address her body’s needs for healing. She gained the tools and knowledge to nurture her body, promote healing and find balance. It is no mystery that her symptoms have vanished!
In addition to her passion for coaching others in Functional Nutrition, Olivia appreciates life as a new mother, relaxing with family, and enjoying nature and the tranquility of the beach. She is fueled by her nutrient dense diet and active lifestyle, which includes hiking, kayaking, and swimming. She credits a whole body, holistic approach to wellness for maintaining the balance needed for life as a mother, Guardswoman and Nutrition Coach at Live Well Medicine.
She has devoted her professional life to helping others on their path to healing in the same way she overcame her debilitating ailments – by educating and coaching others through Functional Nutrition. Her commitment to her clients is to be an exemplary coach on the journey of wellness by living life well and to the fullest.

Douglas Weinstein is the owner and founder of Live Well Medicine, LLC. Douglas is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in Pennsylvania, and he is Nationally Board Certified by the NCCAOM. He works in conjunction with Western-trained medical practitioners to provide high quality all-around care for his patients.
Before Douglas Weinstein was ever a professional acupuncturist, he was a patient. As a young man, Douglas had his first encounter with acupuncture when he was just 19 years old. Over the course of several treatments, Douglas experienced drastic improvements in his seasonal allergies and asthma, along with a surprising reduction of his stress levels. This experience inspired Douglas to pursue a career in acupuncture and herbal medicine and eventually to open a Wellness Center, where he provides the same level of high-quality care for individuals, who otherwise would not have been exposed to this kind of alternative treatment.
Douglas received a Bachelor’s degree in Public and Community Health from the University of Maryland with a citation from the University Honors Program in 2004. In 2005, he began his career in the integrative healthcare field, studying acupuncture at the prestigious Maryland University of Integrative Health. Douglas received his Master’s degree in Acupuncture in 2008. He furthered his studies by completing a 3-year post-graduate program in Chinese Herbal Medicine. Later, Douglas received his second Master’s degree, which was a Master’s degree of Oriental Medicine.
Douglas enjoys running Live Well Medicine and treating a wide variety of patients. He is proud to be married to a Western medical provider, which he says helps to balance his perspective between Western and Eastern medicine. Together, they have a young son, who regularly benefits from the wonders of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
